I developed and produced a Corporate Identity for Niche Art & Architecture Tours Berlin. Core Element is their Website www.nicheberlin.de. Its just one page managed and served up by differnt 3rd Party Services. For Offline Material we produced stamps to have a flexible and ‘raw’ way to communicate the Brand. Nokia Beautiful Connections

Together with Digital Club and Hi-ReS London I did the Message Generator on the Microsite for the Nokia E71 themed around beautiful Connections commissioned by WK London. I worked on the technical framework to generate, save and playback messages based on user input through webcam, mic and text. Users can record a message along with their video and audio input and send that around. The generated graphics are also saved to generate wallpapers. We manged to store only a minimal amount of data to reproduce the user input. I set up a plugin like framework which enabled us to test and integrate different effects very easily while saving and playback always worked. www.nokia.co.uk/e71

For Strichpunkt Stuttgart I handled the production for the Christian Schmidt Photography Website. It’s of course solid deeplinkable flash with backgrounds dynamically matching the color scheme of the image. The backend is quite special in its simplicity, the entire site is created based on a simple folder structure which generates all menus. All text is saved inside the pictures exif tags which are set directly in photoshop (I heard photographers use that a lot) and used to display titles and even the news. The backend script also generates an HTML fallback, an RSS feed an an iphone version just from a single folder. No overhead attached … www.christianschmidt.com

I was asked to rebuild the Media Site for WeSC and delivered a simple but effective Tool to manage the Brands wide varienty of Media Assets. A very open and flexible Design Infrastructure allows the Website to work as an internal Communication tool and as a regular Press Site. Every content is also accessible via an internal API to serve as a base CMS for unforseen future Websites, so they are cheaper and faster to develop. www.wesc.com/media

Merian Prototype

For the nice guys at Ubilabs I developed a user Interface for a mobile Travel Guide. The Demo Application is based on the recently launched Merian Scout Navigator. Whereas the Navigator combines GPS Navigation with location aware Travelguidance this prototype is focused on personalizing this content and making it available on Smartphones. The Prototype was showcased at the CeBit 2008 and built with Flash Lite. I was responsible for the Interface Design and Usability.

For the fine folks at Syrup New York I did this Flash Widget for cosmopolitan.com. It lets users create their custom Cosmo Cover to show it off. It includes a self coded basic color keying filter to clear out the background of random images. That doesn’t always work that well but you should try it at cosmopolitan.com

Interactive installation created for the semester project Interactivity, Play and the Everyday teached by Andy Polaine. in 2007 at the Bauhaus University. I basically build a prayer wheel which randomly called up one click donation Websites when rotated and visualized the translated effects of those ‘clicks’. Please have a look at the extensive documentation and invite me to Museums in weird places.

Loreal Women in Science

While at Syrup, I had the chance to develop a small Processing Installation which was exhibited at the Loreal USA Headquartes to celebrate a fellowship for female scientists. To raise the interest in the scientists work Syrup comissioned an Artwork for each scientist. Mine researched how to speed down light, so I developed a camera triggered particle system which reveals your silouette when you move.
